It's one of those rare surprises when you are afforded the opportunity to see a band play live that you never honestly thought you would have the chance to see. I'll never forget the experience of Godspeed You Black Emperor's first reunion gig or seeing Leonard Cohen entertain all and sundry at Glastonbury. Indulge me further, but another such moment approaches and I'll be damned if I'm not seriously considering following them all groupie-like as they gig up and down the country.

Australian prog-rock group Closure In Moscow have announced a long-awaited European and UK tour in support of their 8/10 conceptual sprawl, Pink Lemonade. It's especially lovely and a welcome surprise, as the band had been lacking a European representation at the time of writing our review. Of Pink Lemonade, we called it a 'trip of gargantuan, ibogaine proportions' that 'surpassed many expectations of what a concept album can be'. But don't take our word for it, head to their bandcamp and jump in the deep end. They'll be joined throughout by Glasgow's Atlas:Empire, and Portland's Icarus The Owl.

We'll be catching up with Closure In Moscow for an old-fashioned chitchat before their London concert, so look forward to that and a full concert review in the coming weeks.
