Los Angeles resident Cody Crump has a bit of a reputation - he was kicked out of the school band and choir when he was young for making bad jokes, and he was impeached as his junior class president because he got arrested. It's clear he's got some pretty great life experiences, and he's taken all of that and turned it into his brand new EP Death, which is out on 5 May.

We're bringing you the exclusive premiere of that EP today! The 5 track release centers around the topic of death, making it one of the darkest collections of material he's released so far (and a huge jump from his acoustic-pop past). It's full of dark, synth-heavy tracks reminiscent of a lovechild from The Killers and Nine Inch Nails, and it offers up a perplexing view into Crump's world.
