For her 50th birthday today, Courtney Love got one hell of a present: she's going to be cast as a preschool teacher (seriously, a preschool teacher) on the hit show Sons of Anarchy. The show will be taking its final motorcycle ride into the horizon later this year as it wraps up its seventh season and producers have enlisted the help of Love and Marilyn Manson. Manson will be playing the role of a "powerful" white supremacist leader.

Love's role on Sons will be her television debut and she'll be involved in a “pivotal, multi-episode arc." She'll be cast as Ms. Hanson, a “straight-shooting preschool teacher of Jax’s eldest son, Abel.” According to E!, she'll find herself interested in Abel which could land herself in a feud with Abel's mother, Wendy. Her character will come about in episode four of the final series.

Although she's typically seen as a loud-mouth, opinionated rocker with quite a hot-headed temper, she does make a damn fine actress. She earned a Golden Globe nomination in 1996 for The People vs. Larry Flynt and was a part of the critically acclaimed films Man on the Moon and Beat.
