Crushed Beaks have unveiled their brilliant new single, 'Tropes', the title track taken from their long-awaited debut EP, out on 16th September through ASL Records. The EP follows 'Breakdown' - last year’s highly praised single from the London duo. Crushed Beaks have pulled out all the stops for 'Tropes' with their familiar scuzzy reverb-laden sound crashing in after a quiet knocking intro.

Matt Poile's laid-back vocals fit snuggly over the rapid garage-y changes as his mumblings admit, "Holding our bodies close and closer still, I will always be there to let you down." 'Tropes' is raw with gutsy textures, like Alex Morris’ smashing drums reassuring its constant strength, and the odd 'woah' gingerly laying itself across, lending the track a dash of mood-lightening indie-pop.
