Early last month, the first taste of Cymbals Eat Guitars' new album LOSE was revealed.

'Jackson', the first new single since the band's 2011 sophomore release Lenses Alien, was a tempered, emotional churn. Lead singer, guitarist, and co-founder of the Staten Island band Joseph D'Agostino cues in on the vulnerable tremble he's so easily refined since the band's first LP in 2009. But 'Jackson' was curiously mature, replacing high energy signatures with serene progressions.

That pattern comes across again with 'Chambers', flirting with spacey prog pop and almost-arena style blast. For a band that can still be quantified as "growing", Cymbals Eat Guitars seem to be teetering on something huge for LOSE.

The John Agnello produced album (Kurt Vile, Sonic Youth) will be released August 25th on Tough Love Records in Europe and the 26th in the U.S. on Barsuk Records. Listen to 'Chambers' below and pre-order LOSE today.
