Snævar Njáll Albertsson has been uncharacteristically quiet recently. Since his last record, 2011's Mount Modern, he's been hiding away writing its follow up. 2014 sees the return of Dad Rocks! though, with Year Of The Flesh due out later this year.

The first track from the album, 'Peers', has been unveiled, and is a glorious throwback to the warming folk that sat on Mount Modern. The track talks of Pirate Bay, torrents, Soundcloud and hard-drives, and that "sharing a Dad Rocks! song" could mean the band may "soon be gone."

It's the kindest possible reminder that thousands of artists like Dad Rocks! need your help and money to carry on, and with Albertsson still creating as glorious an output as this, it would be an awful loss.

Year Of The Flesh is out this Spring. Buy it.
