Now here's a Glastonbury confirmation most of us weren't expecting: his holiness the Dalai Lama has confirmed himself for this year's event.

The head monk of Tibetan Buddhism has confirmed himself via a post on the "Schedule" section of his website, and although it has since been deleted, the Huffington Post screen-grabbed it: "His Holiness will give a talk at the Glastonbury Festival in the morning," it read, referring to the morning of Sunday June the 28th.

The Dalai Lama has a lecture scheduled for the following day at Kempton Racecourse in Middlesex, which means he will be in England during the end of June; however, and since Glastonbury's full line-up is only to be announced in April, it makes sense the organisers are keeping details of his presence fairly quiet.

Glastonbury 2015 takes place June 24th-28th, with Lionel Ritchie being one of the first confirmed acts.
