Dama Scout are a London-based trio with a diverse and dynamic rock style. They released their debut Dama Scout EP last November to much acclaim, and riding that wave they're already back with the huge new single 'Milky Milk'.

'Milky Milk' starts with just the voice of Eva Liu emoting and wallowing over a guitar, and while it stays front and centre throughout the song, the background certainly changes rapidly and riotously. From these low beginnings 'Milky Milk' is quickly onto a more electrified ebb, with building guitars and subtle atmospherics rounding out the emotion coming from that vocal core. Over the course of the song's 5 minutes (by far Dama Scout's longest released track to date) they take it up and down craggy inclines and declines, whipping it around violently, before returning it safely.

Dama Scout discuss the song, saying: "Milky Milk is a song about making the most of fleeting happiness and accepting its irregularity. We move from the intimacy of Eva’s voice into noisy sections whilst keeping the arrangement simple and live with few overdubs. Instead of a vocal chorus we chose to play a straightforward major scale in unison washed in doom and sludge... We wanted an elastic performance, building tension through the push and pull of dynamics and tempo - culminating in the euphoric end section that hopefully comes as a relief... When we put the song together we’d been listening to a mixture of Dave Okumu, Can, Francois Hardy and Earth."
