Although he's currently promoting his debut solo album Everyday Robots, Damon Albarn always has a soft spot in his heart (and in his setlist) for the classics. This past weekend, during his performance at Latitude Festival, Albarn began his encore with 'End of the Century', and immediately after brought his Blur bandmate Graham Coxon to the stage to perform the band's 'Tender', declaring it would be "impossible" to play it without "the man I wrote it with".

Although Albarn and Coxon first went their separate ways in 2002, they reunited in 2009 for a string of Blur reunion shows that included performances at Coachella, Primavera Sound, and Rock Werchter.

In other Albarn-related news, it looks as though he's writing a "mainstream musical for families": "It's funny for me to say 'I'm writing a musical', but, yes, that's what I’m doing next," he told the Daily Star. "It's something I've always wanted to do because musicals are great when they're done well." Fair enough.
