During Coachella, Damon Albarn sat down with Rolling Stone, revealing lots of new details surrounding his solo recordings as well as the future of Blur. Albarn had just finished recording solo material with Richard Russell, his frequent collaborator. Albarn said he plans to do a solo tour to support the album's release, performing sets that span his entire musical career, which means Blur and Gorillaz as well as his new material.

Albarn called a new Blur record "a definite possibility," saying the band intends to record between their summer festival obligations. In addition to these tidbits, Albarn gave details his opera Monkey: Journey to the West opening in New York City, his work with Bobby Womack, and gave us a peek inside the 2010 Gorillaz North American tour.
