Usually, when four-piece band of teenagers from Scandinavia is introduced, premature instincts drift to DIY art punk, or at the very least some metal variation. That might be what's so surprising about LISS, a young Danish quintet that specializes in "Nordic soul."

The band previously unveiled 'Try', a shaking disco-soul groove that was more Autre Ne Veut than Ice Age. Shortly after, the band introduced the second half of their upcoming single release with 'Always', a similarly stripped-down soulful dance ballad featuring production help from Rodaidh McDonald, whose previous work includes The XX and Sampha. The band's official single arrives November 27th on Copenhagen imprint Escho Records and can be had via Rough Trade.
