David Byrne has teased some details regarding his future plans. Specifically, new music.

During a recent Reddit AMA, Byrne announced he's hard at work on his first solo album since 2004's Grown Backwards, with a release expected "early next year." He also detailed some of the collaborations we can expect; one of which is Daniel Lopatin, aka Oneohtrix Point Never: "last week I wrote words and a melody over a track that Daniel Lopatin sent me, so I change depending on the situation," he said of his writing method. "Lyrics are best when the writing is not obvious — when they appear to be naturally occurring (even though that might mean they are the result of lots of work and editing)."

Repeat after me: 2018 is going to be a great year. 2018 is going to be a million times better than 2017.
