Deafheaven have confirmed they'll be returning with a new album this October. New Bermuda is their third full-length release, and their first for ANTI-.

The new album was recorded in Oakland, California, and Atomic Garden Recording in East Palo Alto back in April. Jack Shirley - who worked with the band on their previous releases - produced, mixed, engineered, and mastered the LP.

According to the press release, frontman George Clarke came up with the idea for New Bermuda as way to "describe a new destination in life, a nebulous point of arrival, and an unknown future where things get swallowed up and dragged into darkness".

Check out the album's trailer below.

New Bermuda is out on October 2nd; the tracklisting/artwork is as follows:

  • 1. 'Brought to the Water'
  • 2. 'Luna'
  • 3. 'Baby Blue'
  • 4. 'Come Back'
  • 5. 'Gifts for the Earth'
