Drilling, apocalyptic California black metal outfit Deafheaven have unveiled opener to its forthcoming album New Bermuda with the distilling 'Brought To The Water'.

The cataclysmic effort is an immediate revisit to the band's breakout 2013 album Sunbather, bridging subtle melodic touch to the overall high-arcing and episodic near-nine minute scorcher. The ending, however, seems unlike anything the band has introduced before, scoring a piano outro that ends up feeling like 'Layla' accidentally started playing in the background.

On the track, vocalist George Clarke explains, “we wanted to share 'Brought to the Water' first because it gives a good idea of the overall sonic tone of the record and really evokes feelings that come with uprooting and throwing oneself into the complacent, monotonous routine of adulthood."

Listen to 'Brought To The Water' below and pre-order New Bermunda today on vinyl and CD, via ANTI- Records. The band will be performing August 22nd at the ArcTanGent in Bristol 24th at the Scala in London (tickets for the Scala show are available here).

New Bermuda arrives October 2nd.
