Label: Club AC30 Release date: 27/10/08 Link: http://www.myspace.com/thedeepcut Deep Cut was formed in 2005 by Mat Flint and Simon Flint and last year they recruited Emma Bailey on vocals. The vocals in 'Time To Kill' are so addictive that I struggle to see how this band worked before she joined. They seem to work perfectly together with that fuzzy early 90's grunge/ambient sound. Like a MBV/Dinosaur Jnr mash up. There's not a great deal that goes on in this song, the vast majority of it revolves around a repetitive chorus but due to the strength of that chorus it never gets dull. So get out your lumberjack shirt, tie it around your waist and enjoy a distorted paradise I call the early 90's. Rating: 3.8/5
