"Girls, who are smart/girls, who play the bass guitar/girls, who will test/you will not pass" proudly roars Satomi Matsuzaki on Deerhoof's confectionery new 'Paradise Girls'. In a press release, band member Greg Saunier notes, "Our heroes on this song are Joan Jett, Janet Jackson, Kim Gordon, Kathleen Hanna. It's about how girls are and have always been smarter."

Mixed with the message and jangled Deerhoof rhythmic patterns, the band also announced tour dates supporting the forthcoming La Isla Bonita, coming out November 4th on Polyvinyl. Featured on the tour dates, which you can see after the YouTube copy of the track, will be energetic collection of supporting acts, including: Cibo Matto, Lightning Bolt, Crystal Skulls, Busdriver, and plenty more.
