I'm basically a huge fan of anything Conor Oberst puts his musical touches on, whether it's new Bright Eyes projects or his solo work, which means by default that I think his punk offshoot Desaparecidos are pretty damn great. Although they've only released one album, their debut, back in 2001, it's held up incredibly well over the years -- but now it looks like the wait for a new album is over.

The band announced on their Facebook page that “We are honored to officially be on @epitaphrecords. So many great things to come in 2015,” which is one hell of a hint towards new music if I've ever seen one. The band have also shared a run of new US tour dates, some of which include opening slots for Brand New (I'll be at the Los Angeles date, probably crying because the nostalgia is too real), and you can check those out below.
