If you're headed to Austin for SXSW this year, you may want to extend your trip for a few days. From 13-15 March, Mexican Summer are holding a new festival called New Myths in Marfa, Texas featuring a ton of exciting artists from their roster and Daniel Lopatin's label Software.

Both Connan Mockasin and Blood Orange's Dev Hynes will be holding a recording residency and the week will have performances from Grouper, Iceage, Tamaryn, Steve Gunn, Co La, Bitchin Bajas, Weyes Blood, Thug Entrancer, GABI, LBS., and Suicideyear. And while I'm not entirely sure what it is, there'll also be a "sound bath" taking place that was created by Jefre Cantu-Ledesma, and there will also be a "semi-permanent outdoor mural" from Grouper's Liz Harris. The full schedule can be viewed above.

While you're there, you can pick up a limited edition 12" from Hynes and Mockasin that will be documenting their work together that week.
