While the torrential rains of Sunday in Chicago capped off Lollapalooza's massive 2014 weekend, a fleet of bizarre and sad stories have been quickly pouring in from the festival. Along with a confirmed death at a Lollapalooza afterparty in which Nas was scheduled to perform, Dev Hynes - better known as Blood Orange - and his girlfriend Samantha Urbani were both allegedly assaulted by festival security.

Hynes and Urbani divulged most the of the details per their Twitter accounts, which allegedly happened after Blood Oragne's set on Friday, August 1st. During the performance, the two wore homemade shirts dedicated to victims of police violence.

Festival organizers released a statement the following morning:

“Late Friday night, we learned of an incident involving an artist and a security guard on site. Since then, we have been in contact with those involved and the authorities, as we work together to resolve the situation. As always, our top priority is to ensure the safety of everyone at the festival.”

Several accounts have stated that the security in question were not Lollapalooza staff, but were hired for the festival.
