In effect from today (1st September), all sellers on Discogs, specifically Discogs Marketplace, will have to pay VAT on all items they sell through the site. The change arrives in accordance with updated EU legislation which extends VAT payments to third-party electronic services, a policy enacted earlier this year.

Discogs explained with a hypothetical scenario:

"Example: A seller in France will have 20% of the Discogs 8% sales fee added to their monthly invoice. That means a monthly invoice of sales fees (8% of all sales during the month) that totalled $10 USD would have a VAT of $2 added."

The above, of course, also applies to the UK, as well as any other European Union country whose rate of VAT is set at 20%.
