Discogs has embarked on a nigh on impossible task: to "catalog every single piece of music ever created in the world."

They're hoping to hit a target of 100,000 new listings in one month, and are asking its users to help via its September Pledge Initiative (SPIN). There's even a contributor leader board, letting everyone know just who is better than whom at naming all the music.

It seems to be working: they've already accumulated 54,000 new titles. Watch the video on SPIN below for more information on this campaign.
