Breezy guitar-pop duo Generationals hail from the most musical of the American cities, New Orleans, so we thought it a good idea for Ted Joyner and Grant Widmer to document it for us. This is easily the best guide to The Big Easy you'll ever see.

Their new album, Alix, is out on September 29th via Polyvinyl, check out 'Gold Silver Diamond' here:

"Living in New Orleans is great. But the summers are pretty slow, hot, and terrible. Included here are a handful of the places we tend to go to eat and drink. Some places are slightly newer spots. Some have been around forever. The Brothers Three Lounge is a great dive bar on Magazine Street where Grant and I would often go to when we were first hatching plans to start a band together. Bennachin is a great family-run west African restaurant in the French Quarter. For a couple of years I would rent it out and throw parties there for New Year's Eve. Hi-Volt is a newer place with exquisite iced coffee. Which is basically what I live off of during the summer."
