LA-based artist Michael Collins has announced his new album under the moniker Drugdealer; it's called Raw Honey and comes out through Mexican Summer on April 19th. Like his previous album, Raw Honey features several notable contributors, including engineering from Mac Demarco, guest vocals from Weyes Blood, Dougie Poole and Harley Hill-Richmond - not to mention his excellent band.

The first song to be shared from Raw Honey is 'Fools', a song that sounds as though it's just floated straight out of a 70s smooth-rock radio station on a cushion of marijuana smoke. Although the title 'Fools' might suggest frustration or annoyance, the song is actually cure-all for all your stresses; it cruises at a gleeful pace, featuring some understated but excellent playing, before winding its way into an irresistible gang-vocal chorus. You think that might be the high point, but wheeling out of the chorus Drugdealer and his band offer up delectable sax solos, guitar licks and more genial vocals that sound like the band putting and arm around your shoulder and exuding a warm fuzz into your soul.
