Just over a month after announcing a name change from Beth Jeans Houghton to Du Blonde, she has also gone and announced an actual album, too.

Titled Welcome Back To Milk, it's scheduled for release on 19th May. It's also set to be a complete reinvention, which began with a moniker change and ends with a change in sound as well. Aggression seems to be the keyword, and is confirmed by some words regarding the new album from Beth — whoops — Du Blonde herself:

"What am I pissed off about? In no particular order: the free wheeling judgment of faceless accusers online, every man and his dog giving me advice on how to live my life, what to wear, what not to say, how to write songs. Being asked if I'm on my period in business meetings. Being told to 'just deal with' misogyny. It's clear that the message for young girls, in music, business and relationships, is still 'shut up, do what you're told and be thankful'."

To add to the already bristling anticipation, Samuel T. Herring (from Future Islands, of course) provides guest vocals on one of the tracks.

Du Blonde has also announced some live UK dates, and she has this to say about any live experience in the future: "I was hiding behind my guitar for so long. I want no choice but to look people dead in the eyes and give them all I have." Sounds good to us.
