Dynamic duo Dub Thompson have signed to Dead Oceans. The label will put out the band's debut album, 9 Songs, on June 9th. The album was recorded last August while living with Foxygen guitarist Jonathan Rado at his rented house in Bloomington.

Featuring influences that range from Kraut pioneers Can and Kraftwerk to the Midwestern malaise of Big Black and Pere Ubu - "Most everyone who’s in a group who's our age lives on the Internet," says 19-year old guitarist Matt Pulos, justifying their varying influences. "The kinds of things that have shaped our band aren't anchored to any one time or place." Dub Thompson deliver a steady noise-rock, with 'Dograces' acting as a fine example. Watch its video below.
