Dublin's Fontaines D.C. have been causing something of a stir around the continent for a little while now, right up to their recent stand-out performance at Eurosonic. They're taking that momentum in hand and forging ahead with it, with the announcement of their debut album Dogrel, which will be out on April 12th.

The first single to be shared from Dogrel is 'Big', a bustling proto-punk number that tracks Fontaines D.C. from their childhood roots in Dublin into a gleaming future. "My childhood was small/ but I'm gonna be big," they proclaim, and with hooks and enthusiasm as shown throughout their tracks so far, there's no doubt that they will be.

The video for 'Big' appropriately features a young lad taking us on tour around Dublin. The band explains:

"we felt that great ambition was a sickness, and we got Grian's 11 year next-door neighbour to say it to you all because he's got the presence of a hundred frontmen."

As well as the release of debut album Dogrel on April 12th (pre-order), Fontaines D.C. have plenty of playing live in store, touring aplenty as support to IDLES to sharpen their sound before they return for their own headline tour late in the year:
