Premise: I get mad excited everytime Dumbo Gets Mad shares a new track, and that's because these guys are from my hometown (Reggio Emilia, Italy) and they are definitely the best thing happened in recent times to the local scene (along with Welcome Back Sailors).

Anyway, the news is that Lucas Dumbini and Carlotta Menozzi have a new album coming on Bad Panda Records in early 2013. Quantum Leap follows their already wonderful 2011 debut Elephant At The Door (which gained a certain amount of buzz after the idyllic 8/10 review by Anthony Fantano - aka The Needle Drop) - and from the three tracks we've been treated to - it seems their dazzling, West Coast-via-Mediterranean Sea inspired psychedelia is evolving through stronger world-music flavours. As with every modern Italian mastermind, they're regular travellers after all.

Check out 'Radical Leap', 'Bam Bam' and 'South Africa (Crystal Balls On Roll)' below (the latest has just been premiered by the smart folks over at Stadiums & Shrines). If you like what you hear, be aware that you can bring Dumbo Gets Mad to the UK for their first ever London show via Detour. Let's make it happen.
