Festival of Voice is returning to Cardiff this June for its second instalment, and we've got all the latest line-up additions for you.

Joining the previously-confirmed likes of Patti Smith, Billy Bragg, and Gruff Rhys will be Elvis Costello and the Imposters (June 17th), Angélique Kidjo (June 9th), Reykjavíkurdætur (9 June), Susanne Sundfør (13 June), and Gwenno, who will present a live electronic audiovisual performance called Edrica (June 15th).

With this year's edition emphasising women's contribution to the arts in general, it's no wonder the festival will see numerous premieres created especially for the occasion, notably Carys Eleri’s comedy musical Lovecraft (June 5th), Mathilde Lopez's Highway One, and Camille O’Sullivan's Cave (June 12th-13th).

"Women and song are at the heart of this year’s new commissions," artistic director Graeme Farrow explains. "They will move you, make you think, laugh, and even frighten you. You can’t see these shows anywhere else but in Cardiff and we are showcasing some of the extraordinary talent we have here in Wales."

Festival of Voice takes place in Cardiff from June 7th to June 17th; for more information on the programme, all the latest additions, and to buy tickets, head here. The third wave of acts will be unveiled on April 10th (expect some utopia and dystopia from Charlotte Church).
