It's not too often we get to read a good profile on Erykah Badu, but The New Yorker recently featured the soul singer, who detailed her upcoming musical endeavors. Badu is in the process of scoring the new Comedy Central animated series Legends of Chamberlain Heights, which airs this fall. "I had to interview alongside all these other composers," she says. "Talked all kinds of shit. 'Deadlines? No problem!"

Erykah has also recently collaborated with her "favorite rapper" D.R.A.M. after reaching out to him via Twitter during that whole time when he accused Drake of stealing 'Cha Cha' for 'Hotline Bling.' "This kid as my heart," she said. Their collaborative effort may be released on his next mixtape.
