A new year means it's time to start planning what music festivals you'll be hitting up in 2015. We've rounded up some of our favourites from around the continent, and you'll want to jump on these tickets even before you finish singing Auld Lang Syne - because there's no better New Year's resolution than to fill your year with great friends, tunes, and parties!

January

Awakenings is the perennially popular techno festival that takes over Eindhoven every January. This year brings Loco Dice, Marcel Dettmann, Pan-Pot and Nina Kraviz to Amsterdam's Gashouder.

February

This welcoming LGBT throwdown is the place to unwind and enjoy shows, parades, and more that will keep the bass pumping and the party pumping into the wee hours of the morning.

March

Dive into the electronic underground with a full week of house, techno, bass, garage, and funk in scenic, snowy--and skier-friendly--Bulgaria.

April

Another glorious wintry retreat can be found at Snowbombing, where Alpine landscapes create an epic backdrop for not only amazing DJs and bands (including Skrillex, Fatboy Slim, and Basement Jaxx in 2015), but the hosts pride themselves on one-of-a-kind venues, such as igloos and Medieval barns.

May

Kick back in chill Barcelona with all the cool kids at Primavera, held in the Parc del Fòrum. The lineup is always eclectic, featuring predominantly indie acts--this year, the Strokes are all set to take the stage.

June

  • INmusic
  • Trešnjevka Island, Croatia
  • 20-26 June

Croatia is fast becoming one of the continent's most desirable places to host music festivals, and INmusic does the country credit with its lineup of both musicians and performing artists, silent discos, and more, all hosted on a party-only island.

July

Explore Eastern Europe's scene with EXIT, which takes place in a historic old fortress and celebrates not only great music, but community and peace within Serbia.

August

England offers up two beloved sibling festivals in the month of August, giving everyone plenty of reasons to dance.

September

  • Bestival
  • Isle of Wight, United Kingdom
  • 10-13 September

Stick around the UK for another few weeks and you can visit Bestival, taking over a scenic farm with not only great music selected by organiser DJ Rob da Bank, but also creative cocktail bars, roller discos, and more.

October

Germany shows off some of its classiest music venues--symphony halls, museum concert halls, and more--by bringing in some pop energy for this fun and friendly weekend. Look forward to an intriguing mix of indie, electro, singer-songwriter, and more, all in venues that don't usually hear much in the way of popular tunes.

November

In true Eastern European fashion, Audio Art brings an experimental point of view to the 2015 festival calendar--you'll find postmodern music and art experiences that combine for a truly unique sonic event.

December

France is the place to be for metal heads who've had enough of 'Jingle Bells'. 2014's line-up features Bukowski, Mathar, and Mud Digger--stay tuned for the head banging headliners of 2015.
