After releasing their last album in 2013 with Arc, it looks like 2015 will bring the return of the ever-inventive Everything Everything. Their new record Get to Heaven has been teased on their social media pages over the last week or so, and today they've finally made its formal announcement in addition to premiering its lead single 'Distant Past' on Radio 1. Produced by Stuart Price (The Killers, Madonna, Pet Shop Boys) it finds the boys at their best with their trademark crafty, left-of-centre instrumentation and witty lyrics. Frontman Jonathan Higgs, who directed the video, explained the song in a press release saying "Distant Past is about primal human nature, and no matter how far we progress in our civilisations, we can never escape it."

Get To Heaven is out on 15 June via RCA Records, and you can listen to 'Distant Past' below. They've also announced two tour dates this April, one in London and one in Manchester, and those can be found after the track.

  • Tour Dates:
  • Thu 9th April - Oval Space, London
  • Fri 10th April - Academy 2, Manchester
