Ultra-celebrated Kyoto-born author Haruki Murakami, the man behind works like Norwegian Wood, IQ84, and The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, among other notable novels, has debuted his interactive website, giving fans a sense of place and mind of how Murakami came to be and works. Among the included portions of the well-designed site is a look into his surprisingly intense record collection, which crawls pass the count of 10,000 in totality.

Murakami, other than his obvious work, is also known to be something of a jazz expert, which makes up the bulk of his massive collection. Also included is a fairly boisterous speaker system, which seems like it could be measurably loud for the somewhat compact area.

Take a look at Murakami's home and history here.
