Joshua Worden, from Atlanta, Ga, has garner attention for his "atypically introspective approach, and his musical dedication to mastering 'the slow burner'." Full-length album Always This, is stuffed with soulful, crooning mini-symphonies anchored onto solid bass lines and repetitive stomps.

'The Road', starts with an aquatic sounding pad line, his voice drifting between the aqualine, meditative arpeggios. The track shifts melodically and structurally as the infectious pads reverberate across on a droning bridge. 'Midnight', the most definable track here immediately and simultaneously recalls D'Angelo's infamous 'Untitled (How Does It Feel)' and James Blake's 'Love What Happened Here' intro synth stab. Worden's melodic and structural ideas are within the same territory as other post-chillwave artist, but lead by his love and training in jazz guitar and composition.
