Canadian Travis Bretzer proves that 'Slacker Pop' can be so much more than poorly recorded lo-fi indie pop. Bretzer's reverb-soaked sound is infectious and immediate, making full use of soaring choruses and polished jangle-pop guitars. 'Lady Red' in particular is a wonderful, dreamy affair which seems to borrow as much from 80s post-punk bands such as Felt as it does from the recent outpour of 'off-the-wall pop' led by artists such as Ariel Pink.

Travis Bretzer will be releasing his debut album, Making Love is due this summer in the UK.
