With a name like 'Some Jazz Shit', it's kinda obvious what you're in store for. But that doesn't really matter; what's in a name? Well, um, I dunno, but this track is by FaltyDL, who's like, a known person. It's really good, despite the self-deprecating name: a lush layering of clopping, clicking, clapping percussion - shakers and hi-hats too - alongside electric piano sounds that flit in flight-of-fancy wonder, bass wobblings and other noises, like a busy breeze of ambience, that go together in a pretty much perfect arrangement. Whilst it is kinda jazzy, it's more like post-lounge, new-age easy listening music and it is wonderful, whisking you away to a more exotic elsewhere, somewhere eternally tropical, blissfully carefree.

This is taken from FaltyDL's upcoming album In The Wild - out 12th August on London label, Ninja Tune.
