Horrors front man Faris Badwan has teamed up with the Music Matters campaign to design a range of special badges for this years Record Store Day. The singer has designed the badges for the campaign that works to get people thinking about the stories in the music they are listening to, in a bid to make people understand all the work that goes on behind the scenes to get a record out. The run of 2012 badges will be distributed to the 192 stores participating in Record Store Day 2012 and Faris had this to say about the event:

"I've discovered so much music through independent record shops, particularly Rough Trade. It's not the same experience buying records on the internet. I've always thought Record Store Day was such a great idea, limited 7"s from musicians who share a love of making actual records."
