The weather and fashion often go together about as well as tequila and an early start. The current sporadic weather's making getting dressed in the morning pretty traumatic. It makes you want to just go out in PJs but that only works if you're a fresher really. Moving around in a jumper that the now soon to clear fog tricked you into shoving on this morning is so unbearable that you're tempted to just get naked on the central line. Just tempted mind, please don't all get naked on the central line, commuting is already uncomfortable enough.

So what's my point, those of you who haven't given up reading this are probably asking. I could state the obvious and just say 'layering' but it's vague and a lot trickier than it sounds. Layering is all about decisions; choosing correctly proportioned layers in corresponding fabrics and colours schemes. But before you give up, run away and put your PJs back on, take a look at the Carhartt WIIP Fall collection.

Behold some signature good quality work-wear as this look-book's a total master-class in layering. Traditional field jackets, quilted vests, sweaters in a range of colour-ways that allow for subtle coordination or bold statement making. No more sweaty commutes and shivering in beer gardens - make it your Summer/Autumn/Uniform and be smug. You're welcome!
