It's been six years since Fennesz released an album. It's been even longer (since 2001, to be exact) since he released one on the Austrian label Mego. That's all about to change, as 2014 sees his return to Mego with his new album Bécs - pronounced baeetch, is Hungarian for 'Vienna' - and you can stream the first cut from that record, 'Static Kings', now. The song is a throwback to 2008's Endless Summer with its mixture of static and guitars fitting better together than you could imagine, and if the rest of the album is like this, it may just find itself on many a "End of the Year" lists.
