It really doesn't matter how many followers you got on SoundCloud. More followers cannot ever equal "better" – it can only equal more popularity (and there must have been some real popular bad decisions throughout human history, I'm sure). Anyway, this is up-and-coming and very prolific musicmaker Izzy with a reimagining of the FKA Twigs track, 'Ache' – which we covered way back when Twigs was just Twigs.

Speeding up the original vocals so they flutter with more lightness than they did, Izzy goes to work creating a rich and seething nocturnal beat, with jazzy electronic piano chords glassy and silken above the stumbling squelches of bass synth; it swaggers down a road lined with palm trees and neon signs, expansive and collective – well away from the individualist feel of burning, singular lust in the original. Now it soaks the coasts of our minds in retro-jaunty R&B.

I recommend that after you listen to this you just let Izzy's SoundCloud play through till its end: tasty beats and future-leaning sounds await ye. In particular, you'll probably enjoy Izzy's frenetic re-do of Childish Gambino's '3005'. For now though…
