Those unfamiliar with the beleaguered and ultra-popular Twilight franchise may or may not be aware of the adamant following actor Robert Pattinson has. The London born actor, who used to date his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart, has been dating fellow Londoner Tahliah Barnett, better known as FKA Twigs, recently and "fans" (and trolls) haven't taken too well to the news.

The 26-year-old singer has been the recent subject of racist mudslinging from seemingly scorned Pattinson followers on Twitter, because nothing makes an actor you like respect you more than hurling henious slurs at his new girlfriend. The hate seems to stem from scorned fans who adored the on-and-off screen relationship of Pattinson and Stewart, failing to except both sides falling out. Barnett responded to the remarks earlier this week, saying:

The recent changes could be getting the best of Pattinson as well, who, according to Perez Hilton, may be moving on from Los Angeles. He recently said;

"I think I might be done with Los Angeles. I've just realised that in the past few weeks. If you are the kind of person who needs to be pushed into doing something, then Hollywood is not the right place. I think I need to spend more time in London, or just move around a bit more. I've been in LA for six or seven years or something and it's weird"… "It's a fun city, though, but you are permanently on holiday there. I feel like I've been on holiday there since I was 22."

Barnett's record label Young Turks has also come to the defense of their artist and against racial online racial abuse.

For the good of everyone involved, we will not link the aforementioned racist remarks directed at Barnett. If any are found, please report and block the accounts perpetrating the hate.

FKA Twigs most recent album LP1, which received a perfect score from us, is out now.
