"I’ve kinda been on a Scandinavia kick recently," writes Connor Youngblood on the Noisey premiere of his gorgeous new Northern European-inspired 'The Birds of Finland'. "And while I’ve never been to Finland," he continues, "just the idea of it puts me in a tranquil mood. People need to pay more attention to birds."

The eclectic, earthy track is an encapsulating blend of episodic folk and dreamy ambient, crowding and breathing into a massive sprawl that Youngblood manages to make sound as large as possible. It comes from the musician's sophomore EP The Generation of Lift, coming October 9th, which also features another Scandinavian venture with the previously released 'Stockholm'.
