An animated short film soundtracked by Flying Lotus has been released to celebrate the unveiling of the Sub Phatty – a synthesizer that manufacturers Moog are calling "the grittiest Moog Synth ever".

Having been handed a prototype Sub Phatty a few months ago, Flying Lotus collaborated on the short Moog Sub Phatty: New Machine for Living with Adam Fuchs, who previously produced the video for 'Zodiac Shit' from FlyLo's 2010 release Cosmogramma.

Describing the Sub Phatty, Moog have said that the new synth "fuses an unparalleled connection between human & machine, opening the door to unprecedented sonic exploration." Who better, then, than Flying Lotus to test its capabilities.

The producer's resulting composition - entitled 'Such a Square' – can be found here, while Moog Sub Phatty: New Machine for Living can be viewed below.
