Mary Anne Hobbs took a call from Flying Lotus the other day. "And what?" you're probably wondering. "She's an XFM radio DJ, she must take calls from artists all the time." Whilst yes, you're probably correct, this particular call with Lotus revealed some of the influences behind his forthcoming record, Until the Quiet Comes.

FACT reports that the pair discussed how lucid dreams, as well as piano playing and his sense of humour, influenced the sound on the new record. He also went on to say that the title of the record is inspired by his aunt, the legendary jazz artist Alice Coltrane.

All of this makes for some pretty exciting news, especially since we already know that Thom Yorke and Erykah Badu will be appearing on the record. You can listen to the entire interview on iTunes now.
