This year, it's been all about the war of the streaming services to see which platform won the right to deliver the most anticipated albums of the year on their platform. TIDAL gave us Kanye West and Beyoncé, while Apple Music has been consistent with albums like Drake's Views and now Frank Ocean's Blonde. But Universal Music Group is putting an end to it all. There will no longer be any exclusives from the label.

Lucian Grainge, CEO of Universal Music Group, reportedly sent out a company-wide email on Monday, just two days after Ocean's album release, saying the company would no longer allow exclusive streaming. The decision will affect a ridiculous amount of A-list artists like Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Chris Stapleton and Alabama Shakes.
