Fountains snuck out their debut brooding EP No Sleep in the dark days of January this year, a Rory Atwell-produced affair that shone brightly through an introspective 80's prism.

The London-based five piece are now to release the follow-up in the shape of Easily Led. In many ways it's more of the same thankfully, with a sound so steeped early 80's Jesus & Mary Chain shoegaze antics and a sparse Joy Division atmosphere, you'd think you were living in those dark days full of high employment, recessions and an unpopular government. Oh, hang on there...

It's all rather smashing feedback-drenched stuff, the vocals of Bex and Jonathan in title track 'Easily Led' playing-off one another, adding smartly to the already rich layers that build throughout the track.

The EP is out today via bedroom run, independent label Beautiful Strange, on limited edition 7" vinyl - so go and pick up sharpish. A digital download is also available.

Fountains also play The Waiting Room in Stoke Newington to celebrate the release on 24th July (also promoted by Beautiful Strange - there's a bunch of people to keep your eye on), with free entry. So no excuses, tightwads.
