New York boutique label, Neon Gold Records, has been feeding pop fans invaluable musical sustenance since 2008 and, through its accompanying blog, it has also given (and continues to give) platform to other artists alongside its own signees, frequently premiering exciting debuts from new acts who, invariably, end up becoming big stars.

The brainchild of Derek Davies and Lizzy Plapinger (who you will, no doubt, also recognise as one half of MS MR), Neon Gold started its way spring-boarding careers for the likes of Passion Pit, Marina and the Diamonds, Ellie Goulding and Haim through vinyl-only limited edition singles. More recently, it's progressed to album releases (starting with St. Lucia's debut, When The Night) and become a fully-fledged imprint of Atlantic, bringing the likes of Tove Lo, Seinabo Sey and - very soon - Christine and the Queens renown outside their respective European homesteads.

We have both been big fans of the label (and the blog) since its nappy days and, so, when the opportunity arose to interview Lizzy and Derek for this podcast, we grabbed it faster than you can say 'learnalilgivinanlovin'.
