14 classic albums from Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds will be released on 180g heavyweight vinyl for the first time - seven of which should hit the shelves before the end of the year.

The news follows the recent announcement of a solo Nick Cave European tour for next April/May, and the acquisition of the Mute Records catalogue by BMG. All albums will be fully remastered and will feature the original artwork, from the cover to the inner sleeves.

"The Bad Seeds catalogue is a precious piece of rock history," says BMG Director of Masters and Product Management Didier Dehauteur. "We are determined to deliver a set of reissues which genuinely pay tribute to a seminal band."

The first three albums of the reissue batch, that will be out on October 27th, are debut LP From Here To Eternity (1984), The Firstborn is Dead (1985), and double album Your Funeral... My Trial (1986).
