Bristol-based electronic newcomer Henry Green has been making some waves of late, and listening to 'Shift', it's hardly surprising. One of a pair of new singles (also see 'Without You'), 'Shift' serves as the title track for his approaching debut.

As the title implies, both this song and the album revolve around movement, and often, a lack of control. "'Shift' refers to the sensation of falling, unaware of when you'll reach an end but enjoying the loss of control...", Green explains. The track encapsulates this well, with a softly drifting vibe and strings that can nearly be described as flirtatious, suiting Green's disarmingly soothing, almost alienly feminine, voice. It all makes for an alluring introduction to a promising new face.
