Pioneering creators of innovative unique projects, Rizlab, have announced their next trick to unleash upon the general public.

Friendly Fires are to curate the RizLab arena on the opening day of Bestival (Friday night) that will feature collaborations with SBTRKT, Lone, Frankie Knuckles and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs to name but a few.

Titled The Past, Present and Future of Dance Music, it will feature an aural timeline showing where dance music started and where it’s going.

Friendly Fires had this to say:
"Our goal was to have a line-up that acted as a timeline to show where electronic music started and where it is now. The idea was to create a bill of legendary yet varied names from the genre to create something perfect for Bestival. As a band we’re always been keen to show off our genuine love and passion for dance music. It’s great to have this opportunity to select our own line-up as it’s not something we’d normally have the opportunity to do.”

This follows on from the sadly cancelled (due to the riots) previous Rizlab project with Jaime XX and Quayola that we were much anticipating; but not to worry over the entire weekend of Bestival further events are planned. Watch this space for further news on that..
