Seminal post-hardcore act Fugazi probably didn't know what they were getting themselves into way back in January of 1988 when they hit the studio to record their first demo as a band. They had only played ten shows together prior to entering the studio, and when they finally did, they recorded 11 songs and only pressed them to a measly ten tapes which were distributed at their gigs.

Dischord Records has had one of those copies for over a quarter of a century, and they've finally decided to open up the vault to give the demo a proper release. It will coincide with the first round of uploads to the Fugazi Live Series site, which features recordings of about 900 of the group's 1000+ shows. Below, listen to their track 'In Defense of Humans'.
